The new school building project for Deptford Green School in New Cross, London, designed by Watkins Gray International (WGI) by integrating ‘green’ design features, has reached financial close.

New York-based Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects (GSAA) has designed the new Student Center for Cleveland State University (CSU) in Cleveland, Ohio, as the ‘living room’ of the campus.

The Biomanufacturing Research Institute & Technology Enterprise called the BRITE Center at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), designed by Freelon Group and O'Brien/Atkins Associates, has been recognised with the 2010 CAE Educational Facility Design Awards by AIA.

The Tulane University (TU) in New Orleans, Louisiana, has completed sustainable renovation of the Dinwiddie Hall, one of the original buildings on campus, which is slated to become the first LEED-certified building on campus.

The University of Missouri-Kansas City’s (UMKC) Herman and Dorothy Johnson Hall integrated with a host of sustainable features has been selected as a finalist for the Cornerstone Award from Kansas City Economic Development Corporation (EDC).

Architectural design firm Gresham, Smith and Partners’ (GS&P), Jacksonville, Florida office has been selected to design the Jim Henderson Administration and Welcome Center at the campus of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Florida.

Bernard Tschumi Architects has won an international competition to design a new centre for the performing arts at Institut Le Rosey, the oldest private boarding school in Switzerland.

Michigan State University (MSU) has unveiled the new Brody Square dining hall, after a 15-month-long renovation scheme that has transformed the college cafeteria into a 975-seat gourmet food court.

The $578 million Robert F. Kennedy (RFK) Community Schools, the most expensive public high school in the US, will be unveiled in September 2010 in Los Angeles, California, built on the site of the former Ambassador Hotel.

Contra Costa College in California is undertaking a three-phase reconstruction project of its Applied Arts Building, which includes remodelling of five class rooms, renovation of rest rooms and brand new offices.

The Canada Green Building Council has awarded the Social Sciences and Mathematics Building at the University of Victoria (UVic) in British Columbia, Canada, with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)- Gold certification.

Oak Point Associates based in Maine, US, has been awarded a Citation Award by the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education for the design of the Foster Center for Student Innovation at the University of Maine's Orono campus.
