Sissinghurst VA Church of England Primary School employs Alutec products
Published: 07-Jan-2013
Sissinghurst VA Church of England Primary School in Kent, UK has installed aluminium rainwater systems from the British manufacturer Alutec.
The design brief to Diocesan Architectural Services Limited for the Sissinghurst VA Church of England Primary School was to maintain a sense of unity. The need for choosing sustainable materials that would last the lifetime of the building was essential. In addition, the modern design of the new school needed to blend with the village surroundings, with an emphasis on simple, clean lines.
Alutec's products were specified for the project because of their smart rectilinear profile, which are ideal for modern buildings. Alutec’s Aligator Boxer gutter and Traditional 76mm downpipe were found to be suitable.
Manufactured from marine grade aluminium, the Aligator system is 100% recyclable at the end of its long life expectancy of 50 years or more. In addition, the system is highly resistant to corrosion, making it virtually maintenance free. Aluminium is also 65% lighter than cast iron or steel, making it easier to handle on site. John Nason Roofing installed the products at Sissinghurst Primary School.
Sissinghurst VA Church of England Primary School was first established in 1840.
